SnapID Mark is a camera that stamps the time, the location and a unique SnapID code onto every photo. Anyone who receives the photo can check it is genuine using the code or the QR on the stamp. This guide takes you from installing the app to your first photo.
Install the app
- Install SnapID Mark on an Android phone or an iPhone (iOS 15 or later). Download links are in the Get the app section of the home page.
- Open the app and swipe through the 3 intro screens, or tap Skip. You can switch between English and Vietnamese right there.
- Choose how to start:
- Sign in or create an account (email, Google, or Apple on iPhone) — see Account and sign-in.
- Continue as guest to go straight to the camera without an account — see Guest mode.
- After signing in, the app asks How will you use SnapID Mark?: Just me, A business (create a new business) or I have an invite code or link. If your company has already invited you, the invite appears here with a Join button.
Business owners manage their team in the Admin web app at app.snapidmark.com — see Admin web app.
Take your first photo
The app opens straight to the camera.
- The first time, tap Allow access so the app can use the camera and location (only while the app is open). If you declined, tap Open phone Settings and turn them back on. Why each permission is needed: Phone permissions.
- Look at the stamp on the preview: the time, address or coordinates and your next SnapID code are already shown.
- Tap the shutter. The app shows Photo saved with the SnapID code. Without a connection it shows Saved on device — the photo uploads automatically when you are back online.
- Tap the Gallery thumbnail to see the photo. Photo details offer Share, Save and Delete.
Stamped photos are uploaded to the SnapID cloud and, by default, also saved to a SnapID Mark album in your phone’s photo library. You can turn the album copy off in the camera Settings.
Tip: to change the look of the stamp, tap Template or Style in the toolbar under the camera. See Camera and stamp.
Personal vs business workspaces
One account works for your own photos and for several businesses. Each is a workspace, and photos belong to the workspace they were taken in.
| Personal | Business | |
|---|---|---|
| Who sees the photos | Only you (plus anyone you give the verification code) | The business Owner and Admins |
| Stamp template | Your choice, your style | The company’s required templates |
| Location | Optional | Precise location required |
| Attendance | Not available | Clock in / Clock out, optionally by site |
Switch workspace: tap the workspace name at the top of the camera screen and pick another one. From the same sheet you can also Join with code or Create business.
You need an account with a verified email to create or join a business. Details: Teams and attendance.
